This lack of pedagogical steerage could possibly be greatly improved sooner or later. This textbook is inaccurately described on-line as “digital in nature,” when it takes on a traditional method to educating and learning. The only digital part is the inclusion of hyperlinks embedded throughout the textual content, most of which are not contextualized. Some of these links don’t work, and others ship college students to artworks with poor image Art Galery quality. The textbook as an entire fails to supply digital activities and/or tasks to increase students’ instructional experiences past the textbook, serving to them grasp concepts (i.e., quizlets, flashcards, movies, interactive images, etc.). It does not comprise studying features like annotate and bookmark, which improve engagement with course content.
